2025 Makers Market Recap!

Hi everyone,

It has been a winter, and we are finally just getting to doing the public facing part of the Makers Market recap.

On December 20th of last year, we hosted a wonderful market at the Anvil Centre in New Westminster. We had art and crafts from around a half dozen local makers, including pieces of pottery, jewelry, papercraft, and original art. We had a great response from the public, and we were so excited that a couple of local businesses sponsored our events.

Royal City Paws Pet Centre sponsored the event, and their funds completely covered the rental fee for the space. We are so grateful to Kelly and the rest of the team. This is a business that we have known for a long time; we still make the trip out to New West when our cats need checkups, and they treat us like family.

B-bombshell Salon, another New West business, sponsored us and helped cover the printing cost for the flyers. We’re super grateful for them as well.

All in all, we raised just over $1400 for this market, putting our fundraising total at $80,636.45

Breaking $80k is nothing short of miraculous and we could not have done it without the incredible people who generously provided their time and skills to create the incredible items for sale. Special shout out to members of Cafe Au Clay, my home pottery studio, for donating pieces to our event.

Thanks so much everyone, here’s looking forward to a great new year.
